Dear friends and family,

Some of you have heard directly from me, or others through the grapevine, that I have decided to take a bit of a trip. Rather than have the news slowly eek out bit by bit, and photo by photo, I figured I’d let it be known in the most widely available way…Facebook, of course. By a “bit of a trip,” I mean to say that I’ll be living out of a backpack for at least the next twelve months, traveling around the world.
While I’m sure this may be a shock to some of you, I am actually beginning my travels this weekend by heading back west for a week before making my way back east to New York for the remainder of October (including Halloween!!) November 1st I’ll be headed back to Iceland for Iceland Airwaves, then on to Sweden, England, and Germany. My itinerary is quite open with the exception being a few notable highlights along the way, so I hope to meet up with anyone who’s out and about over the next year! I’ll be updating everyone here, but I will also be setting up a photo blog to capture the moments and people I run into along the way.
As this is my second to last night here in Portland, I’m going to be having an open house (it’ll be quite empty of furnishings at this point) Friday evening. Please stop by if you find yourself near. I’d love to see you!
