I love sharing my food experiences with people. I’m always making suggestions for restaurants, and people have always said they love the places I recommend. So, as I feel I’ve earned my wings for foodie spots, here it goes.
My favorite restaurant in all of Indonesia at this point is easily Locavore. Having gone there twice now, I can attest that they have consistently excellent food, and just a perfect environment. Nearly every dish is brought out and described by someone in the kitchen. This is done with love and affection, as only someone who loves what they do can do. This added touch gives the diner a really world-class experience. As most of my experience with Bali has been alcohol-free, I kept the theme going and ordered one of their non-alcoholic cocktails. Wow, was this delicious. It was a bit like a caipirinha or mojito, but a bit more. I loved it, as did my chef-friend who invited me there for the second dinner. Sharing this experience with someone is highly recommended, as it’s so much fun to talk about the different flavors, textures, and expressions that one feels during this most wonderful of marathon dinners.
